Our timber division at Capalaba, has been competitively supplying timber products to domestic and commercial builders, home renovators, handymen, landscapers and the public - since 1976. We made a conscious decision to be a dedicated and specialist timber supplier resisting the temptation to sell hardware. At Forsyth & Romano, we only employ professional timber people who have worked in all aspects of the industry and can advise customers on the correct materials for their needs.
The purchasing of a fully functional roof truss and pre-nailed wall frame manufacturing plant in 1996 meant that we could now offer our customers a total timber frame and roof truss/package. This saw both divisions grow quickly as key suppliers to the building industry, attracting a wide range of new custom while offering a greater range of products to our existing clientele. In 1999, we then went on to purchase Stairway Construction Company, a major supplier of traditional staircase throughout South East Queensland since 1967. The purchase of a second truss plant, Brisbane Building Supply Co.in 2002 has steered the business to the unrivalled height of success it enjoys today.
